About Astraea Rising

Astraea Rising is built on the belief that therapy is more than addressing problems — it’s about building connection, discovering inner strength, and rising to meet life’s challenges with resilience. We serve individuals, children, families, and adults, offering support that is both evidence-based and deeply personalized.

With a special focus on neurodiversity, we provide certified clinical services for ADHD and autism, empowering clients to understand themselves and develop strategies to thrive. At the heart of our work is a commitment to accessibility: therapy should be available to everyone, not only those with insurance or financial means. While our rates are set and we accept insurance, time-limited financial options such as sliding scale are explored when possible, because care should meet need, not just circumstance.

Astraea Rising’s philosophy is rooted in collaboration. Therapy is a shared process where your voice matters, and growth comes through guidance, skill-building, and the willingness to challenge yourself. By blending science, compassion, and partnership, we create a safe and empowering space where healing and growth are not only possible but expected.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more.

Timothy Raper, LCSW

In that moments of hurt / pain have you felt that you didn’t want someone to say, “Don’t feel that way! You are doing great! This will make you stronger. This is what you should do.” Instead you needed someone who knows that pain and feels it with you and says, “This is not easy. I can’t promise it will get easier, but I know we will get through it. You may not know how in this moment and that is okay, but this is for certain you will!” My role is to meet you in that space, listen deeply, and help you uncover the strength to rise through life’s challenges.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Tennessee, certified in ADHD clinical service provider and pursuing advanced training in autism.

I work with adolescents, adults, and families navigating ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, and the complexities of relationships. My passion is supporting neurodiverse clients and their families, helping them understand themselves more fully and build tools that fit their lives.

My approach is collaborative and person-centered. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Together, we’ll explore your strengths, identify barriers, and create strategies that feel both practical and empowering. I draw from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialetical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), always tailoring my work to your needs.

Therapy should be accessible to anyone who is motivated and ready for change. If you’re ready to take the next step, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
